 | Update August 2010: Please note that a new edition will be available late in 2010 which will replace this edition. This edition of Visual Basic for Education is based on the .NET framework. Like its predecessor, Visual Basic .NET for Education strives to make computer programming both accessible and interesting to secondary students. The .NET framework represents a significant upgrade to the previous versions of Visual Basic, and as such presents many challenges to educators. This text has been designed to be easy to use and flexible enough to be used in virtually any existing course structure. Consisting of fourteen chapters and over 320 pages, each programming concept is discussed with examples and screen captures to demonstrate their use. The book is accompanied by a CD-ROM which contains over 30 programs and tutorials. The book also comes with a section containing test questions which can be adapted and freely used. Class sets of 20 or more copies of this text attract a 10% discount on the price. This text is also available in an Electronic Site Licence version. Please see 'Publications / Electronic Site Licences' for more information. |
